With a recent move to Nashville under his belt, Ocean and his new album Born Blue (Aug 13th) are primed to take the country music scene by storm.
Kaley Rutledge
In 2016, Kaley released her first EP August under the moniker De Joie. With over 1 million streams on Spotify, Atwood Magazine remarked that the project “echoes the ‘folktronic’ undulations of artists like Dustin Tebbutt, Phoebe Bridgers, Gordi, and Luca Fogale.”
In 2020, the artist wrote and released her first full-length album Tender Heart with Nashville producer Thad Kopec via Tone Tree Music. A compelling blend of the cinematic soundscapes and artful arrangements, Tender Heart is an enlivened indie pop record with colorful production and world-class musicianship. The sonically vibrant collection evokes comparisons as eclectic as Cat Power, Feist, Japanese Breakfast, and Sun June.
Now, Kaley returns to her Florida roots with her first country-folk record entitled Family Tradition, produced by Randall Kent. Written and recorded in Nashville in 2022, the five track project explores Rutledge’s rich Southern heritage and classic country themes of love and heartbreak.
Family Tradition (EP) released Fall 2023 was accompanied with Rutledge’s debut UK tour.
